Society matron Norma Carlisle (Elizabeth McGovern) accompanies Louise Brooks (Haley Lu Richardson) to New York City. There were times I thought the movie would go one way, and then things were switched up. Not only is the story line and characters perfectly crafted, but there are subplots within the film that make this a movie that will pull you in and keep you engaged from start to finish. But, now this movie is available from PBS and it is wonderful. I read the best selling novel that this movie is based on a few years back in a book club, and searched to see if a movie was available. Buy now on DVD from Amazon for only $15.82 If you loved Downton Abbey, you will love this period piece film which centers around the young Louise Brooks.
